AUSTRALIAN DESIGN CENTRE
Formally known as Object: Australian Centre for Craft and Design was based in Surry Hills - now titled Australian Design Centre located in Darlinghurst, is a dynamic national body showcasing the best in Australian contemporary craft and design.
In 2007 - 2009 this non-profit organisation comprised 2 gallery spaces, a quarterly magazine (later an iPad app), a retail store and a city wide Audio Museum.
The exhibition program featured a heavy and savvy national touring schedule, featuring leading regional and urban galleries.
An impressive and comprehensive Education program complimented each exhibition, encouraging a varied range of schools to engage in craft and design.

Curated: Refashioning the Fashion, 2008 featuring Melinda Young (NSW), Tiffany Parbs (VIC), Leah Heiss (VIC), Julia deVille (VIC), Alice Lang (QLD), Gabby O’Connor & Chelsea Gough (NZ).
Managed Exhibitions (selected) : Bombay Sapphire Design Award, A History of Blue and White (curated by Stephen Bowers, internationally supported by Asialink); Design Now (national graduate exhibition, toured to Wagga Wagga and Melbourne Museum); Making + Meaning curated by Brian Parkes featuring AUS, UK, NZ artists.
