metalab - gallery director
Metalab gallery is a multi-disciplinary design studio and gallery established in 2005, Surry Hills, Sydney. Focusing on contemporary jewellery, objects and lighting, the diversity of work showcased ranges from the conceptual to the wearable, the covetable to the collectable.
With an accomplished team of artists, product designers, metalsmiths and architects Metalab curates and co-ordinates exhibitions, events, product design, exhibition and retail design, small scale in-house manufacturing, commissions and custom orders.
The Gallery Director role focused on the expansion and programming of 2 gallery spaces, developing a Collectors Cabinet showcasing international and national collectable items, artist liaison and creating online social media systems driving audiences into the physical gallery space.
